NPWS Series
Wheeny Creek
NPWS approached Pureablue for a proposed toilet facility at Wheeny Creek. A picnic area north-west of Richmond (NSW) in a popular camp site in gorge country.
The site is on river frontage, with reasonably difficult road access, down a twisty single lane steep in places road. The site was adjacent to the river, and flood prone.
NSW National Parks & Wildlife
We proposed a CWT collection well system, melded with a NPWS Design Book single plane roof two booth toilet building. An Anti- Surcharge System was included, a device specifically designed to prevent the solids content of the collection well escape in a flood event. This system has been successfully used for NPWS NSW and Parks Victoria on the Murray River on many projects along the river corridor east and west of Echuca.

The complete kit of parts was manufactured in factory, shipped to site, and installed in three days. A site Specific Management Plan was included in the project package. This Management Plan included a Pureablue endorsed NSW accredited liquid waste contractor, and a schedule of programmed waste removal. This is part of Pureablue philosophy. Build the facility fit for purpose, design for management and maintenance in the life of the facility, and document for ease of management by the NPWS site management team.
