The project is one of a series of buildings produced for Coffs Harbour City Council. The design of the facilities was a collaboration between the council in-house landscape architects and the Pureablue design team. The building was based on the Anti-vandal Stainless+Concrete Panel system with the Automatic Night Locking System, EPS Ceiling Panel System, and epoxy floor coating with flake pattern. All wall to floor junctions were coved to enable effective house out cleaning and longevity. The veranda columns and screening is Ironbark hardwood treated with a Sikkens coating system to minimise maintenance requirement and leaching onto concrete footpaths. Situated adjacent to the beach, corrosion protection was a significant challenge. The solution involved all steel work treated with a multi-layer Dulux protective coating system.
