The Our Country series of buildings are a third-generation system, designed in collaboration with local government, roads authorities and Parks agencies and manufactured in Australia using locally sourced components and materials. Our systems are refined from 28 years as a specialist provider of public restroom design, construction and maintenance that delivers:

• A safe, hygienic and inviting facility for patrons;
• A design that encompasses designed for the disabled, Universal Design Principles and Crime Prevention Through Environmental Design (CPTED) principles discouraging anti-social behaviour;
• Vandal resistant design from a building system level down to fixtures and surfaces;
• Cost-effective operation and maintenance as cost-of-life. This considers cleaning requirements, vandal resistance and minimising costs of vandal rectification;
• Exceeded compliance with all Australian Building Codes, Australian Standards, especially the most recent AS 1428.1 (2009) with focused compliance on the Disability Discrimination Act;
• In integrated documentation package including engineering certification & BA documentation.

The buildings consist of a pre-cast concrete slab, galvanised and painted steel frame with Colorbond steel cladding. The Our Country Series is designed to predominantly integrate with the CWT Collection Well system, but can be configured to suit site treatment systems.

The buildings are 75% assembled in our factory and then shipped to site for installation. This provides a significant cost saving compared to on-site construction at remote sites. On-site installation and commissioning is typically 1 to 2 days.

The CWT Collection Well System

The CWT systems is a waste system for restroom sites without sewer service. It is a simple cost effective solution, both initially and whole-of life, that can outlast the life of the building.

• A robust solution, practical for public facility application, without intensive management attention and cost.
• Conclusive building compliance with Access Standards, BCA and Environmental legislation.
• Collection wells are engineered for below ground installation. No additional structural enclosures. No ramps required for building access.
• Vandal resistant concrete construction resilient to vandal attack.
• Highly applicable in sensitive water catchment areas where zero-to-earth discharge is required by law.
• No OH&S issues for management staff in dealing with human waste as is the case with composter units.

System Management

• A site specific Management Plan is created for each installation in the acquisition phase. This takes in to account anticipated usage, seasonal fluctuations, and capacity of local waste contractors.
• All waste is removed from site by CWT endorsed and State government registered sullage waste contractors.
• All OH&S issues involving staff working with human waste are by-passed
• Odour management is by a benign soy based additive that is dosed in to the system during the servicing of the facility. The dosage regime is specified in to the Management Plan.
